GN 738.1 magnetic threaded plugs attract iron particles which might be suspended in the liquid.  
The magnetic pin is of a length which makes it impossible to demagnetize itself.  
To avoid breakage or de-magnetizing, round rod magnets are fitted with a plastic protection tube. This tube has to be removed prior to installing the plug.  
The seal is retained in a groove undercut in the mating face, which prevents it from dropping out and from extruding when the plug is tightened. For this reason the seal can be of a softer material which offers better sealing.  
Maximum heat resistance: 200°C
