GN 923.7 flat-faced solid disk handwheels are distinguished by their modern design.
These handwheels are suitable for applications where the handle must not remain in the operating position.
In order to bring the handle into the operating position it must be pulled upward 90° against the torsion spring, to a stop, and then pushed axially against the spring pressure into its hold position. By maintaining the forward thrust on the handle, the handwheel can easily be rotated. When the handle is released, the spring returns it back to the retracted position.
The removable plastic cover shrouds the assembly hardware such as screws and countersunk washers, as well as the shaft end.
Countersunk washers for handwheel retention, see GN 184.
Solid disk handwheel with or without revolving handle, see GN 923.
Retractable handle version with handle that is locked in the operating position, see GN 923.3.
Two-spoked version, see GN 924.
Two-spoked versions with retractable handle, see GN 924.3 and GN 924.7.
