GN 5337.8 safety star knobs were developed for applications where access by unauthorzed personnel is not permitted.
The shape of the keyhole profile is identical to the key profile.
The protruding part of key type CSN can be folded so that releasing and clamping are not impeded even when the key is in the lock.
Temperature resistant to 100°C (215°F).
Resistant to solvents, oils, grease and other chemical agents.
Size M10 thread available with stainless steel insert upon request.
Knob requires key - keys must be ordered separately, see table below.

Method of operation
With key in the lock (rotation of the key is not necessary), the star knob operates normally.
Without key in the lock the operation is restricted to a clamping movement; i.e., it is only possible to turn knob to the right. A rotation to the left (releasing) will break the link between the knob and tapped insert. |
