Designing machinery may not be the most artistic pursuit in the world, but sometimes the issue of color can be essential even in industrial design. A number of our metal parts can be produced in a variety of colors using a powder coating process.
JW Winco has its own in-house machining facility; this provides an advantage for our customers to take an idea and create a unique customized solution through the choice of using one of our standard parts.
DIN 6311 thrust pads are utilized to transmit clamping forces. They lean to uneven and unparallel surfaces and eliminate the transmission of any screw turning movement to the workpiece.
The snap ring is a simple and quick method to connect the thrust pad to the grub screw.
For simpler assembly, the thrust pad has to be held at an angle allowing the circlip to drop to the bottom of its groove with the split end downwards. The screw is then offered up to the split end of the circlip at the lowest possible angle and pressed home.
