DIN 6311 thrust pads are utilized to transmit clamping forces. They adapt to uneven and nonparallel surfaces and provide full surface clamping of the workpiece.
The snap ring is a simple and quick method to connect the thrust pad to the grub screw. To simplify the assembly process, the grub screw has to be held at a slight angle allowing the entry of thrust point to snap into the snap ring, then continue by straightening the grub screw and pressing it completely into place to secure it to the thrust pad.
