Type: KN - Stainless steel, standard spring load
Product Family Stainless Steel
Standard parts made of rustproof stainless steel have been designed for use in the food sector, in the chemical industry, for aggressive ambient conditions or for outdoor use.
GN 615.9 ball plungers are used as locating devices, detent pins, pressure pins and ejectors. A typical example is push-on / push-off applications.
Ball plungers mounted in various control levers are also perfect solutions for snap-indexing mechanism applications.
The ball is mounted in a plastic shell which allows it to move and roll freely in the assembled housing. This generally optimizes the locating characteristics and reduces wear on the mating piece.
Another characteristic of these particular plungers is that the plastic friction bearing acts as an electrical insulator.
The hex socket end makes these plungers slightly longer than the GN 615 ball plunger with slot. In all other aspects they are identical.
