Product description

Medium duty casters EN 22885 are used in industrial and public indoor areas for moving lightweight carts, for example.

The wheel tread offers low rolling resistance and high elasticity as well as good wear and tearing resistance.

Medium duty casters in versions STE / NIE are suitable for use in an electrostatic protected area (EPA). The plastic used for the wheel tread provides for controlled conduction of electrostatic charges.

The low wear on the ball bearing increases the service life, and the mounting to the inner ring can be accomplished with zero axial backlash.

Suitable for Floor Type

The type of the floor and the possible obstacles are factors that influence the amount of force required to move the cart as well as the transmission of vibrations and the wear on the wheel.
Based on the characteristics of the floor, the guidelines apply to selecting the right wheel:

  • For irregular floors and in the case of obstacles, the wheels should have soft and thick tread and large diameter.
  • For smooth floors and heavy loads, the wheels should have hard tread.

The following table shows the suitable floor type for each wheel in simplified form.
