Product description

Vibration isolation mounts GN 456 are suitable for the anti-vibration mounting of machine units such as compressors and pumps.

The hourglass shape absorbs side forces better compared with cylindrical vibration isolation mounts. The rubber also does not swell past the cross section d1 under pressure loads.

Exceeding these values can also lead to reduced service life or immediate failure of the part.

The examples show how a design can be modified to turn unfavorable load situations into favorable arrangements with compressive load.

The service life of elastomer elements can be decreased by environmental conditions, such as UV radiation, weathering, hydrocarbons and chemicals, as well as by aging. Positioning with appropriate protection will extend the service life.
