Designing machinery may not be the most artistic pursuit in the world, but sometimes the issue of color can be essential even in industrial design. A number of our metal parts can be produced in a variety of colors using a powder coating process.
JW Winco has its own in-house machining facility; this provides an advantage for our customers to take an idea and create a unique customized solution through the choice of using one of our standard parts.
EN 518 tapered knobs do not require a thread at the shaft. During mounting, easy blows with a soft hammer are sufficient to drive the knob into place, the shaft end should be slightly rounded or chamfered (30°). The knobs sit absolute vibration-tight.
The transparent sight glass allows symbols to be placed underneath.
Once the knob is mounted on the shaft, the symbol is placed into the recess of the separately supplied sight glass and driven home with a soft hammer.
The symbol is fully protected from dirt and liquid by the tight connection between the sight glass and the knob.
Positioning and control symbols are to be ordered separately.
